Happy 6th Birthday Taylor!

I love her new smile!!!

We reached a new milestone in our house this week as Taylor turned 6 years old! With our kitchen still in a huge mess, (just wait a newly remodelled kitchen post is just around the corner however) we decided to move the traditional Harris bash to a local party place called Pump it Up! Although, it was not near as fun as being in our own backyard it was great for the kids, and I loved it becaue all the clean-up and set-up was done for me! It was a win-win for everyone.

Jump, Jump, Jumping Machines

The 13 kids who attended Taylor's party seemed to all have a great time jumping on the 6 huge jumphouses that were at Pump it Up!
Even the parents got in on the fun - here I am dog-piling the birthday girl.
All the kids liked the dog-pile idea so much they took down the 6 foot 5 inch giant (aka Tim) in the jumphouse!

Summer winds down, but we go out with a bang!

One of our last weekends before school, we were treated with a visit from our favorite Northern Idaho friends! We had a great time just hanging out and playing with the girls, catching up on old times, and generally just chilling! The girls made a "no boys allowed" clubhouse, and ate lots of ice cream. It was a perfect weekend (almost we won't talk about the foot episode in the kitchen). Let's just say that Northern Idaho girls are TOUGH!!!

The Next Generation of Friends!

Saying good-bye to our favorite Northern Idaho friends was not easy but it was so fun to see the girls continue to get to know each other and play so nicely together. They trully are the next generation of good friends - maybe someday you girls will be college roomies like your moms were! Go future Vandals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE BLING - by request!

It has been requested many times by our readers for me to post a picture of the ring (aka the bling) Tim surprised me with in honor of our ten year wedding anniversary. I hope this satisfies all those requests (eh hem - Sara!!).

Idaho Girls Head to Arizona!!

Due to the kitchen disaster (July 2007) at the Harris house, the Idaho girls took an improptu trip down south to visit their Arizona cousins. Although the temps ranged around 105+ (one day it was a record of 114 down there), we had a fun time with our cousins and swimming in the grandparents' pool!! Taylor was thrilled to have her 6th birthday celebrated a little early with an "unbirthday party" hosted by her Aunt Amy and Grandma Patti. They all made our time very special and we apologize to them all for bringing strep throat down with us (that is another story and one we won't dwell on)!!
Taylor made good on all the years of swim lessons she has had and swam and swam and swam in this great pool!!
Aubrey - trooper that she is - managed to catch her first case of strep throat sometime while we were here, but she made the best of it and got plenty of pool time in too!
Ok Ok I know someday these girls will ask me why I let them wear these goofy goggles?? They are really good goggles despite the goofy appearance, and if you ask me they look pretty cute in them regardless.
