I was challenged by Pike Schemes (Sara and Shawn's blog) to write this list of 8 random things. I have to admit I don't get the point to it but it is kind of fun to think of 8 random things about yourself (and fun to read about other people's list) so after reading this see if you can't do the same thing. Here goes mine:
1) Since my 1st birthday, I have had the same meal for my birthday dinner: my mom's spaghetti, french bread, and salad (there have been a few random birthdays that did not meet this, but not very many)!
2) I have real OCD tendencies. For example, I can't (absolutely can't) have our screen on our sliding glass door be anything but closed. My husband will leave it partially open or all the way open and I can't walk by without closing it. I think he leaves it open on purpose to make me a little bit crazy.
3) Both of my daughters were born (two years apart mind you) in the same hospital in the exact same wing and room of that hospital (incidentally their daddy was born in the same hospital as them too).
4) I am a huge texture eater - I won't eat anything creamy. For example, I like potatoes, but if they are mashed then I am out! The only exception is "sweet" creamy (ice cream of course). Cottage cheese is by my account the most disgusting thing on the planet - creamy and chunky!
5) I just recently discoved that while I always thought I was an "any kind of animal lover" I actually do not like dogs. Unfortunately this also means, we will be giving Buddy away to a good home. For all those dog lovers out there I am trully sorry, but I do feel like we have found him a much better home.
6) Everything I learned in college I learned from a 3X5 note card! Seriously, everything from organic chemistry to calculus it did not matter.
7) My favorite all time episode of Seinfield is the one where Jerry wants to buy a car from Elaine's boyfriend (and George has the candy bar line-up), and my favorite all time episode of Friends is the one where Ross and Rachel are "On a Break!"
8) I often get this song stuck in my head at random moments: Big Mac, Filet-O Fish, Quarter Pounder, French Fries, Icy Coke, Milk Shake, Sundaes, and Apple Pie. Funny thing I don't even really like McD's, and I have never had a Big Mac - ever!

8 Random Things

Yay! I love a new post! Like Meg said on our blog - I knew most of these. Sorry about Buddy, that must be a bummer. Glad to hear that he is going to a great home.
Here are my 8 random things...
1) I have a collection of bandaids (not used of course) - about 35 boxes - most are in storage in Boise
2) My middle name is the same as my mom's first name, hers is the same as my grandmother's, and my grandmother's is the same as my great grandmother's - which makes me a bit depressed because I have yet to find a name that Sara sounds great with as a middle name
3) They Might Be Giants is one of my favorite bands and I have seen them in concert multiple times
4) I am completely addicted to potato chips and other fried potato products
5) I really can't stand onions, but somehow I like onion rings
6) I was born with stick straight hair and after college it started to turn wavy and now it is definitely curly
7) I drive a hybrid vehicle
8) I love Broadway musicals and listen to Maximum Broadway an internet radio station at work whenever I can

Amen on the cottage cheese! I feel exactly the same way. I had no idea about any of these random things. Thanks for sharing!! Like you said...it's random, but it's so much fun!
I keep thinking about my random things. I will probably post them soon. I enjoyed learning a few random things about you!
I'm proud to say I knew several of your random things but it was fun to learn about a few more! I'm going to have to start thinking about my 8 random things! I think you made a good decision about Buddy! I know you'll find him a great loving home! (I'm not an animal/dog person either).
And I finally read them! These are great. I think that having your daughters in the exact same room fits right with your OCD tendencies.

Big Mac. Also never eaten one, and can sing that song.
I have to disagree with you about the cottage cheese. I love it for the texture.
