Our little girl turns 7!

I had to take a quick picture with the bday girl!

The four cousins all seated, smiling, and together - the stars had aligned!

A. turned 7 while we were in AZ! It was a special treat to spend a bday with our AZ family and we had a great pool party - another treat we don't get in ID! I can hardly believe she is 7 but in so many ways she seems older than that too. It makes me sad how far away from the baby stage we have come, but this new stage of life is pretty amazing. I love the toothless smile she is sporting for all these - those teeth have taken forever to come in! I am scared how gorgeous she is going to be at 17 if she is this cute at 7 - I know I am slightly biased.

AZ Trip 2010

A. is our glamour girl all the way!

Surprising to Tim and I, we had never seen the Hoover Dam this is a picture taken on the dam of the new bypass they are building since 9/11. We thought it was kind of cool that we will be some of the last people to actually drive on the dam once the bypass is complete.

I tried a self-portait while we were driving! Ok I will say we were stuck in "dam" traffic so it was not as unsafe as it sounded. And yes, the "dam" jokes were kind of funny - especially as we were a little loopy at this point in the drive!

And Tim and I attempting a self-portrait before the game! It's hard to do a self portait when there is a 12 in difference in height between me and the hubby but we are getting better at it.

Tim is a pretty big Seattle Seahawks fans so we of course, schdeuled this trip around their game! We had fun at the game and Tim insisted that I needed some "fan gear" or they were not going to let me in the stadium. Seattle fans are pretty crazy I will admit. At one point, a very intoxicated young man yelled at me when I was not standing up and cheering for the team. It was some great people watching to say the least.

A little trip for two... sleeping in Seattle!!

You can't go to Seattle without trying some seafood. We enjoyed the crab dinner with Ryan and Connie. The bib was a huge necessity especially if you were sitting anywhere near me - I had crab shells flying in every direction. Yummmmmmm....

Meg and Matt took us on a great tour of the city and we had to stop and grab a photo shot at this iconic Seattle look out!

Tim and I snuck away just the two of us to celebrate a very busy summer of work that Tim had (ok it even lopped over into a great portion of the fall if I am being honest)! He has been working so much lately that we decided it would be fun to just go away for a while and have some fun. We had a blast in Seattle. We stayed right downtown in the heart of the city with an amazing room at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. We were hosted by two great couples in the city too. We want to thank Megan and Matt and Ryan and Connie for being fantastic tour guides. They made our trip so much fun and it was really a memorable weekend for us both.

This Halloween was spent with our favorite cousins! We love our tradition of trick or treating with them. We also love their adorable daughter and can't wait to meet baby #2 in 2010!! For the astute observer, I am missing from these pics as I was home sick with bronchitus. My family so thoughtfully posed "sad" for me even - I am so blessed and I was so bummed to miss out on this evening with them.

An "arm" update

I have not been very good at blogging lately. But I am going to try and get caught up here. For those of you wondering, Aubrey did not have to have surgery on her arm but she did have to wear a cast for quite some time (almost 8 weeks if you are counting which we were). She was able to go to a short arm cast (purple this time) about half way through the healing process. She was a trooper and we are happy to announce right before Halloween she was finally cast-free... Here she is showing off her new arm (yes, she is the one who looks slightly orange around the eyes... hee hee)!!
