Who doesn't love to dye Easter eggs? We all love it and it was all the more fun because Grandma Sally and Tim' great-Aunt were able to join us. We had age ranges from 4-80 years old joining in on the fun.

Daddy/Daughter Dance
All ready to dance the night away!
Just one more year little one and you get to go too!!
For the second year in a row, Taylor and her dad went to her school's father/daughter dance. The theme this year was Hawaiian (hence the wild shirt). They had a fantastic time, and Aubrey is so looking forward to joining them next year when she will be old enough to attend.

Pardon the Mess
It would seem everything in my life is in need of a new look. I am also giving my blog a makeover so bare with me as I play around with different templates. I am trying this one out for a while. I am not too crazy about the overall look it gives the blog (it makes you feel like you are looking at our life with rose-colored glasses - I had to say it and I am not sorry), but it was the title of the template that caught my eye: Hope Blooms Pink!! I just liked the thought of that so to my Sandpoint friend this temporary look was in honor of you - as you are always on my mind!!

Happy Leap Year!!!
Taylor holding the 10 inches!!! We all agreed it looked rather "rodent" like!! Not the new haircut, but the pony tail that I will send in...
With an extra day in the year, I thought it would be fun to do something that I have said I was going to do since January 2007. Inspired by my oldest daughter last year, I donated my hair to locks of love today. It was fun to do something different with the extra day I was given this year!!!

Groundhog's Day
Getting ready to hit the slopes.
A mid-ski hot chocolate/ dinner break!
Bundling back up to go back out into the storm!
Our backyard is a winter wonderland right now!!!
We did not need a groundhog around here to tell us it was going to be six more weeks of winter. It was pretty clear to us when we woke up to 4 more inches of snow this weekend. We decided to take advantage of the snow and try the girls out on skiis for their first time. We had the best time at Bogus Basin. The conditions were terrible (nearly white out most of the time we were there), but the girls had a blast - so did Tim and I although they wore us out big time. They did so well that they asked us to take them on the real chair lift. I was more nervous about this then they were. It is amazing how much easier kids pick up skiing (well most new things in general) compared to adults. We had to drag them off the mountain so I have a feeling we will be going back up to Bogus again real soon. In case you are wondering, that is Tim using a snow blower that was how thick the snow was - we don't own one but he borrowed one from the neighbors and cleared all of our neighbor's driveways with it- aughhhhh what a guy!!!

A perfect day to play!
Our snow fort... did I mention my kids are addicted to eating snow?? I believe it has been added to our food guide pyramid as of late...
Jammies pretty much all day!!!
My snow angel...
Even though the roads were terrible the weather was actually pretty awesome. It was actually not that cold which afforded us the chance to spend most of the afternoon outside rather comfortably! We literally stayed in pj's all morning, and then it was time to hit the snow when it warmed to a balmy 33 outside! We had so much fun building snowmen, snowforts, making snow angels, and white washing each other here and there. Taylor had a school friend come over which was an unexpected treat too! She was a little bummed to have to go back today (if you ask me the weather is way worse today), but who knows what tomorrow may hold. It has been one interesting winter so far so stay tuned!!
