A perfect day to play!

Our snow fort... did I mention my kids are addicted to eating snow?? I believe it has been added to our food guide pyramid as of late...
Jammies pretty much all day!!!
My snow angel...
Even though the roads were terrible the weather was actually pretty awesome. It was actually not that cold which afforded us the chance to spend most of the afternoon outside rather comfortably! We literally stayed in pj's all morning, and then it was time to hit the snow when it warmed to a balmy 33 outside! We had so much fun building snowmen, snowforts, making snow angels, and white washing each other here and there. Taylor had a school friend come over which was an unexpected treat too! She was a little bummed to have to go back today (if you ask me the weather is way worse today), but who knows what tomorrow may hold. It has been one interesting winter so far so stay tuned!!

SNOW SNOW SNOW

We have our first official snow day today!!! I can hardly believe it I don't think Boise has had one in over 7 years. I don't think there is that much snow (this coming from a girl who grew up (SOME) in Wyoming and walked 5 miles to the bus stop in bare feet - of course), but there is a think layer of ice hiding underneath the 4+ inches of snow that makes the roads pretty bad. My girls (especially Taylor) were so excited about this announcement this morning. I will post more as the day unfolds. We are due to be hit by another storm so I hesistate to say this aloud (especially with Taylor near by) but we may have more snow days on the horizon!

Happy New Year!!

Aubrey with her AZ grandparents. It looks like Grandma is snuggling her here, but she really is just stealing any warmth from her that she might be putting out. We froze them out in McCall where one morning we woke up to -2 below!! Yikes that is cold...

Some dads will do anything to amuse their little girls. Tim would be one of those dads as he jumps from the hot tub to make a snow angel. Crazy!!!! The girls tried it out, but did NOT like the burning sensation they experienced when they jumped back in the warm tub. Can't say I blame them!!!

I can hardly believe it is the middle of January and I am just now getting to post. Unreal. Regardless, we hope all of our friends and family had as wonderful as a New Year as we did. We spent it in one of my favorite Idaho towns - McCall. I would move there if Tim could figure out a way to get a job there (he says I would not last one winter up there). It was so much fun and we loved all the snow. We even got our AZ grandparents to play in the snow with us!!

The Cats Away and the Mice will Play

This is what kind of stuff goes on when mom is not around.

And our AZ Grandma is left in charge!!
